These fashionable perennials are a perfect addition to any garden

Penstemon are very versatile
- they make excellent Cottage Garden plants in beds or herbaceous borders
- or are equally at home in Patio Gardens in pots or containers
Penstemon come in a superb range of colours

- from the delicate pink shades of  Appleblossom
- or the vivid reds of Firebird or King George
- to the almost pure white of Snowstorm

Many varieties have beautiful Orchid like markings in the throat of the flowers

Penstemon prefer a well drained position in good sunlight

Varieties vary in height from 60-70 cm ( 2 ft ) to 110-120 cm ( 3 ft 6 ins )

                             
ALICE HINDLEY     Large pale mauve flowers with an open white throat
                                Larger leaved

APPLEBLOSSOM   Masses of medium sized pale pink flowers with                                          delicately streaked white throats.

FLAMINGO              Large deep pink flowers with red markings in a
                                white throat

KING GEORGE        Large bright scarlet flowers with conspicuous white throat

MAURICE GIBB       Large rich cerise flowers with a white throat
